Ufo Sightings Reports

This section includes some of my never before reported Australian ufo sightings and reports from others Ive assisted.

A cigar shaped craft was seen by two witnesses (my mother and myself) and watched through binoculars in the morning around 9am slowly moving south-east above Sydney's eastern suburbs. The weather conditions were clear and sunny.

"We both saw it through binoculars in our backyard. It was metallic and silvery in appearance and no noise was heard during the sighting which lasted for about 10-15 minutes. Both my mum and I observed it with binoculars and the naked eye. I was able to run inside and get the binoculars and still have enough time to get a good look at it."

"The cigar shaped craft appeared to be between 100m to 300m high and was travelling in a S.E direction. It was seen moving very slowly and became stationary on and off for a few minutes each time. There was a bright pulsating light which reminded me of liquid mercury you get in a thermometer. This fast pulsating light was continuously moving back and forth along the entire length of the craft which I estimate to be around 50-100 ft long."

"Occasionally as the craft proceeded across the sky, it would stop in mid-air for 1-3 minutes and then it would move on again in a slow and lesuirely manner until it was out of sight and too far away to see any longer."

When asked if it might be a plane, I can only reply; "No. It definitely wasn't a plane. Planes dont hover or stay stationary for periods of time and it was close enough through the binoculars to see that it was a cigar shape with no tail or wings. But the creepy thing about watching this object was that we both had the distinct feeling that we were being watched or observed by something in that craft or something knew we were looking at them. It was such a strong feeling that it gave me the creeps and made the hairs on my body stand up.."

At the time of this sighting, I was living on the hill in the centre of the town of Murwillumbah and this position afforded a good view of the sky and surrounding countryside as well as the township itself. It was early evening around 8.00pm, after dinner, when I walked out onto the balcony which faced south for some fresh air. Just as I did so, I saw a dark disc shaped object fly across the town in front of me from an easterly direction towards the Border Ranges in the west.

It was travelling very fast and flew above the town at an estimated height of 100-200 feet. Its appearance was like a dark disc shaped silhouette against the night sky with an eerie greyish-white soft glowing outline around the edges of the disc which looked something like a halo, aura or energy field.

No sound was heard as it passed by and I estimate its size to be up to 30 feet in diameter. The sighting lasted no more than 5-10 seconds and by that time it had moved off into the distance out of sight. And I remember thinking at the time that it looked like it didnt want to be seen (its dark soft glowing appearance) and that it was in a hurry to get somewhere.

This sighting included a large metallic cigar shaped object and 8 or 9 smaller metallic balls or spheres which flew in formation and performed incredible maneuvers. Im not sure of the exact date but it was April in the autumn and I remember it was a Saturday and it was just after midday when the shops closed. I know this because I lived on the hill overlooking the town and surrounding countryside and I remember noting that the shops had just closed because I could see part of the main street from my vantage point.

As I looked out from my balcony across the town to the mountains of the Burringbar Range further down the valley, I noticed a very large cigar shaped silvery metallic object moving slowly towards the town from a S direction. It was heading in a N-NE direction but moving very slowly as if it was having a good look around. This cigar (just like my previous sighting in Sydney years before), also stopped in mid-air every few minutes or so before proceeding on again and then stopping again and so forth. The cigar appeared to be only a few hundred feet above the ground and it was large - perhaps up to 100 feet long.

While observing this object which resembled a cylinder or long plane fuselage minus the wings and tail section, I and 2 other witnesses with me noticed about 8 or 9 shiny metallic balls or spheres much higher up which looked a shiny greyish yellow/olive green colour. These balls/spheres flew in formation at an incredible rate of speed in a wide circular motion around a large single cumulounimbus cloud in an otherwise clear sky. They circled this cloud about 5-6 times before both the cigar and balls/spheres disappeared within the cloud and did not re-appear again.

I continued to constantly watch that cloud for about another 20 minutes until it moved further away towards the coast and dissipated and never did I see anything come out again. I estimate that the balls or spheres circled the cloud in under 1-3 seconds each time - they were so fast. The weather was clear and sunny except for this one big cumulounimbus cloud.

This sighting took place almost exactly two weeks prior to the other Murwillumbah sighting listed above. That I remember quite definitely and they both happened within a two week period of each other. I also remember experiencing strange dreams around this time which included seeing ghostlike entities on my balcony and feelings of astral floating like I was having an oobe.

During 1984 I was living on an isolated community situated within a national park. It was about 10pm at night and I was star gazing with a friend. While sitting on the ground at the edge of a large clearing facing west, we suddenly saw a large bright white light travelling very fast from north to south. It was very high up in the sky and looked like a moving star. The size was comparable to the planet Venus as seen in the sky around sunrise or sunset when it is at its brightest phase.

It covered the whole span of the sky in less than 5-8 seconds. At first we thought we had seen a meteor or space junk coming in but approximately half a minute later while still looking in the direction where it disappeared over the horizon behind a mountain, it returned, now flying south to north in the same trajectory and manner as before and at about the same speed. It then vanished over the horizon in the north. No sound was heard during the sighting and it is estimated that the light was approximately 35'-40'degrees up in the sky but at high altitude. This area was not on a known flight path for aeroplanes and neither did the light resemble those on planes nor flash in the same manner. The light was constant.

At this time, I was living on a hilltop which overlooked the Burringbar valley to the Burringbar Ranges in the north. It was a clear sunny day and I was bending over in the vegie garden weeding in the back yard. As I stood up I just happened to look out towards the Burringbar Ranges when I saw two identical shiny metallic discs around the 30-40 ft size, flying, one behind the other. They were flying or skimming along the tops of the mountain ranges in an east to west direction. They appeared to be flying at a constant equidistant space from each other and were going very fast moving out of sight within 5-10 seconds.

Later that day a friend arrived to visit who lived on the other side of the Burringbar Ranges. She recounted to me that while driving on her way to visit me, she saw a single metallic disc fly over the top of the car high up through the front windscreen. The sighting was very brief in that there were trees and mountains everywhere around and it was out of sight within seconds. This occured around the exact same time that I looked up to see the two discs from my vantage point. Whereas she only saw one disc due to the terrain, I saw two. And dare I say, it was the same sighting but viewed from two different locations miles apart at around the same time. How interesting...
